A MUST for fresh eats & perfect ambiance in the adorable village of Ridgewood! Great location, perfect for outdoor dining (which we enjoyed with our mocktails - though they also have bottles of wine from local vineyards). We shared a few apps, my favorite was the fish tacos. Fast, friendly service. Complimentary sparkling water & seasoned popcorn. We will definitely be back!

Always a great experience. Food is so fresh and delicious. Also, hubby had the burger. How did this not get listed as one of the best burgers in Bergen County. It was amazing. And the fries are to die for. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. Just love this spot.

Cute cafe in Ridgewood and a great place for weekend brunch. Service is great. They serve complimentary sparkling water and cinnamon sugar popcorn before you start your meal which is a nice touch. The scones were perfectly crumbly and had house made flavored butter and strawberries that were macerated in sugar. The French toast with berries was basic but flavorful. The Vermont Benny was basic but well executed . The home fries were a bit too salty for our taste. Saltiness aside, this was a nice place to unwind on a weekend morning.

This is probably one of the cutest places ive been for dinner. The decorations and the whole vibe of the place is pretty classy. First of all, they served this amazing popcorn as a little tease; popcorn with cumin, sea salt, and some type of yeast? We could not stop eating it. For the popcorn alone 10/10. The food came out rather quickly too. Cooked very well. My friend is on a 'whole 30 diet' *eye roll* so she orders some peppers and b. sprouts *bigger eye roll* She said they were really good. So I guess for veggies they're alright. I had the salmon which was really good. Honestly, I ate too much popcorn and got full. But I would've finished everything easily and gladly because it was so good.

We went here for dinner a few nights ago and had a really nice meal and excellent service.  Everyone is friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is very warm and inviting.  We had the tomato soup to start, which was so flavorful.  I had the pan roasted half chicken with roasted vegetable (broccoli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, etc.) and brown rice, which was absolutely delicious.  The chicken was so juicy and perfectly cooked.  My husband had the veggie bowl and enjoyed that as well.  I would highly recommend White Maple Cafe as a great spot for a date night.

**Update**After reading my review, the owner/manager corrected their online menu and reached out to help make my next experience better. Changing my review to 5 stars as their food and atmosphere has been great in the past plus I'm very impressed with how quickly they reached out in a very professional manner. Overall the food does taste good here. I ordered two kale Caesar salads today and was very disappointed when I saw they were actually 90% romaine. Very misleading on the menu description. Also, typical Cesar salads have the dressing tossed to provide a nice even coating, I received my dressing on the side. I'll be sticking to my usual lunch spot Stella that is just a few steps away.

Can't say enough about this place. Great food and great service. While all the food is great, I'd go just for their table popcorn and the ricotta plate!

White Maple Cafe is such a nice establishment in Downtown Ridgewood to go for brunch.  We enjoyed our experience greatly.First of all, Downtown Ridgewood in general is a fun place to visit.  They have lots of other shops and restaurants to explore.  It's larger than even Red Bank, Haddonfield, or Downtown Princeton. The cafe itself has so much attention to detail.  Everything from the floor, to the hostess stand, to the menus, to the check holder at the end is either an antique or a nice feature. They give you complimentary sparkling water, which is served the way they do it in France, in a wine bottle.  They also give you free popcorn that is prepared the way it is in France, with cinnamon and sugar, instead of the American way with butter and salt.My poached salmon benny doesn't look so great in the picture, but it was delicious.  The potatoes were also seasoned really well. The service was attentive, and they seemed to be pleased that we were happy with our experience in general.

Delicious healthy option.  They start you with a nice seasoned popcorn which sets the tone for the rest of the meal. Salads area good size and very delicious.

Delicious, a little pricey but worth it. This was a random find while exploring the neighborhood and our taste buds enjoyed it. The area may seem a bit pretentious but once you go inside you get comfortable. Their prices could be better but for the culinary experience I would say it was worth it. Portions were sizable, service friendly, space clean and the food came fast for being busy that day. I would go back and advise you to try it too!

So stumbled upon this table to farmPlace while grabbing some coffee and wow was it a find. The chicken is from Goffle farm which is halal for all the zabiha eaters. This means it's organic non gmo vegetarian fed free range chicken! The owner Ryan was very accommodating and cool. They have delicious seasoned popcorn. The crab cake sliders, the avocado toast, the chicken salad sandwich was amazing. Even the fries and salad was a burst of fresh goodness in your mouth! The strawberry lavender soda was delicious as well. My only regret was I cudnt finish my sandwich and I forgot to take my to go box home . But a must try!

Wow! Enjoyed Saturday brunch, started with the appetizer, grilled bread teamed with a ricotta spread, honey and a fig spread. I had a Mediterranean salad with feta and shrimp. I asked for the dressing and shrimp on the side. The shrimp served with the salad was delicious, perfectly cooked and yummy dressing. Go! Now!

Ahhh!! The service and food was so awesome! My friend and I sat outside for almost 3 hours catching up, munching, and sun bathing here. It was glorious. I ordered the Ricotta Mixed Vegetable Tartine with Tomato Jam and Tomato Bisque (Half Sandwich Half Soup). I was impressed with the amount of vegetables and flavor this dish had. Five stars.

Ramsey, NJ - April 20th, 2018

I've been to this restaurant several times and it doesn't disappoint. If you like farm to table meals, this is the place for you. There are a decent amount of Vegan and Gluten Free options as well. The Harvest Salad, and the Salmon are wonderful. My friend ordered the Tuna (accompanying wasabi mashed potatoes were to die for) and she loved it. If you like spicy food, the Korean Cauliflower appetizer is great! Even the popcorn they give you when you sit down is delicious--I could pig out on that alone!

Glen Rock, NJ - April 5th, 2018

First time here but have been meaning to come. I came in 10minutes after opening on a Thursday (so 11:40) and there were already people sitting. The waiters were very attentive. Brought a choice of water right away. Also placed a small bowl of very tasty, seasoned popcorn on the table as I waited for my friend. Perfect if you're starving. My friend and i both ordered the avocado toast with a side salad (choice was that or French fries). The food came quickly. The dressing on the salad had a nice kick. The multigrain bread was sliced very thick and the avocado mash was fresh and tasty. I also ordered a matcha latte after which was good. My friend had ordered coffee with the meal and not only did they refill twice, they gave her a cup to go when we left! The menu has a good selection of items, all seemed fairly healthy. The chicken in the chicken salad is from a local poultry farm. I will definitely go back!

Food is a 10 out of 10.  Fresh, delicious and well prepared.Perfect balance of inventive vs. familiar cuisine.  It is a nice touch that they offer free sparkling and still water.  Next time I will try their wine but you can also BYO.

White maple is one of the best restaurants in ridgewood nj. I would vote they have the best burger around. The kale Caesar salad is also really good and all of the items on the menu is farm to table. The staff is very professional and make you feel welcomed during your dining experience . I recommended this restaurant to a coworker and he absolutely loved it . I would check this place out for your next night out with family or friends .

Five stars for the best popcorn I've ever had in my life! They served it complimentary with our late lunch but offered it to-go for $5. I can't even explain the type of seasoning they used. Honestly never tasted anything like it before. Highly recommend just for the popcorn but the food there is great as well!

Went to White Maple Cafe to catch up with a friend. The atmosphere and decor were super cute, staff was SUPER friendly and the food was DELICIOUS. I have some food allergies and the staff was able to accurately answer all my questions and concerns. I ordered the dutch pancakes with bananas and I CANNOT wait to go back to order them again! Deff recommend this place for great coffee, delicious foods, and great atmosphere.

This little cafe has so much charm! The decor is reminiscent of an Anthropologie catalog. The coffee is locally sourced and delicious. The Korean inspired cauliflower starter is a signature item. Finished lunch with a dark cherry cheesecake which was perfect!

An excellent eclectic menu to suit all discerning tastes.  Great food and excellent service.  We came here for brunch as a group of 7.  Had the Dutch baby and others tried the Ranchos Hueveros, Berry French toast, Spinach Chicken salad and Fritatta.  They also have a nice selection of sides for those who would like an extra splurge.  Freshly squeezed orange was a welcome addition to a hearty Sunday brunch.

Would recommend this place in a heartbeat. Their Sunday brunches are phenomenal. You can bring your own bottle of champagne and enjoy unlimited mimosas. Their coffee is little bitter but hey who is complaining, when their food and service is over the top. My all time fav is pancakes.

Wilmington, NC - August 3rd, 2017

What a great addition to the restaurant scene in downtown Ridgewood! The restaurant has a cool vibe with a tasteful decor. A great place for lunch and conversation with friends. A nice way to start lunch was the complimentary seasoned popcorn and bottled water. We ordered roasted cauliflower for starters which was perfectly seasoned with a hint of smokiness. We also ordered fish tacos and spinach salad with grilled chicken. Both were terrific! The service was attentive. This is a little haven for foodies in NJ!

First by reading the menu, met  by a wonderful server, L, we just knew that this was going be a great meal. And of course we were right. We shared the roasted Cauliflower it was awesome and a large portion that when our entrées came we had to ask for a doggy bag. My husband ordered the duck breast special and they made it to perfection to his specifications. .I ordered a Mediterranean salad since I'm trying to stick with vegetarian cuisine. It was served so beautifully and it was delectable. We look forward to returning   thank you L for making this a beautiful dining experience for us

Saddle Brook, NJ - June 3rd, 2017

Love love love towns like Ridgewood with restaurants for every palette. My best friend suggested this place for a late lunch on a Thursday afternoon. The place is really cute with clean white tile floors and rustic looking furnitures to match. We sat outside since it was gorgeous out and was given a very simple but fulfilling menu. We were offered sparkling or tap water and our orders were taken right away. Since we both ordered salads, it didn't take long for the food to come. I had the harvest salad with shrimp and avocado added on while my bff got the Mediterranean salad, also with shrimp and avocado. The salads were large but extremely filling. The food tasted delicious. I know it's just salad with a bunch of stuff thrown in, but the dressing and the mixture of squash, eggplant, quinoa was an amazing blend. I would absolutely come back and try something other than their salad next time. It's really nice to just sit outside and people watch while chatting with your girlfriend. I recommend this place over some of the bigger named restaurants around the area!

New York, NY - June 1st, 2017

I had a good experience here. Visited on a Saturday morning for brunch and it was not too packed. It was a nice day, so got a table outside. The place is beautiful. Love the marble tables and the tiled floors inside.Food-wise, you get a small bowl of cinnamon popcorn (tastes great) to start with, which was a really nice touch. I ordered the Dutch Baby Pancake, and it was DELICIOUS. Definitely would order again. My friend ordered the Eggs Benedict, which she enjoyed as well. I guess pricing-wise, this place can be more expensive than others in NJ, but I am an avid NYC brunch-eater so it seemed pretty typical to me, if not cheaper than normal. This is definitely one of the most pleasant brunch spots I have been to in Northern NJ so far, and I will surely be coming again.

New York, NY - May 30th, 2017

My husband and I moved to New Jersey from Manhattan so it's been a change of options to eat when it comes to hip and nice brunch places! We saw the reviews and pictures of the White MapleCafe and fell in love with the decor! As soon as we entered we got a bowl of sweet, buttery, cinnamon popcorn which was to die for! I ordered the grilled vegetable tartine with a salad and my husband ordered the avocado toast with fries! Both dishes were very hearty and filling for a brunch/lunch occasion. We also ordered coffee. The staff was extremely nice always attentive. Can't wait explore this Ridgewood area more!!!

Ramsey, NJ - May 28th, 2017

We were given a gift certificate for White Maple. A Saturday evening reservation and great weather combined for a very nice experience. We sat outside and had very attentive service. Popcorn instead of bread was a fun start. We shared fish tacos  (3 per order) that were excellent. Then Arctic char and a burger for entrees. Everything was fresh and well prepared. Prices were reasonable. This place is a nice addition to Ridgewood's outdoor cafe feel. There is loads of competition so I hope that they continue to do well.

Came for Sunday brunch, left thoroughly impressed. The decor is very simple yet cool, featuring a small plant wall and modern yet rustic touches. My waitress gave me excellent suggestions and I ended up with the avocado toast, and a side of their vegetable hash browns. The quality and freshness of the food was evident. My friend fell in love with the Dutch pancakes. We will be back!

New York, NY - March 27th, 2017

Had the most amazing leisurely lunch here today! Loved the ambiance right from the start- modern, crisp, clean, white. They offer complimentary flat or sparkling water which is a nice touch. We also enjoyed the savory flavored popcorn, which we devoured and was a nice break from starting a meal with bread! For appetizers we shared the Korean cauliflower (OMG wow you must try this! Unreal flavor and perfect char) and we also got the harvest salad to share. It was exactly what we wanted and hit the spot.Entrees we had the burger, duck tacos (which is an app my mom ate as her main), and my sister had the veggie tartine and tomato Brie soup. We didn't leave a lick on our plates! The burger was seriously SO good. Such a good flavor to the meat. Each dish had some kind of extra sauce or dressing that really made the dish stand out. Only minor hiccup was at some point we lost our waiter's attention and a different one helped us but it was fine. I would absolutely return and would love to try both brunch and dinner. Great addition to the neighborhood!

We live in an town of many excellent restaurants, Ashland, Oregon, 8 months of the year with Shakespeare, etc. We ate at the White Maple and found it top notch.  Beside the fork to table fresh ingredients, the smiling service was incredible.  We were a large party of 16.  All the food arrived about the same time.  How did they do that?  Plate by plate everyone was pleased.

Parsippany, NJ - March 6th, 2017

I love everything about this place. From the moment you walk in you will feel a warm fuzzy feeling inside. Definitely a "cute brunch place" to go to on Sunday morning. You get a complimentary bowl of popcorn at the table, coated with some kind of spice mixture which was really yummy. I got a cup of coffee to start and it was some good ass coffee. For mains my friend and I ordered two dishes and split em because we couldn't decide what to get (everything sounded so good). We got the veggie breakfast bowl and the skillet huevos rancheros. I will say that the huevos rancheros were a little on the smaller side in terms of portions but overall we left satisfied. I dug in so quickly that I forgot to ask for hot sauce. Everything was delicious. Tip- get there early on Sunday, we got there around10 and it was pretty empty. 30 min later the place was full.

Ridgewood, NJ - January 30th, 2017

Well, I am happy to say I DO know the quality of the food here now, and it is excellent! A return trip resulted in a fine dining experience all around.  The owner, Ryan, was affable and gracious, visiting tables to greet his guests, and our server, Jade, could not have been more friendly, efficient, or attentive.  The Tomato and Brie Bisque was creamy and flavorful, and my husband's Harvest Salad was fresh and tossed with a excellent vinaigrette. We also enjoyed the Herby Ricotta Board, which featured crusty sourdough bread and pear chutney. Entrees did not disappoint -- the hangar steak was tender and cooked perfectly to order and the scallops, served on a bed of risotto, were sweet and nicely grilled. Finishing with coffee and a slice of cranberry-maple cake, we made plans to come again soon. The White Maple Cafe is certainly a welcome addition to the Village!

What  a pleasant surprise! Went here last night on a date night w my lovely wife and was completely blown away.  I had never even heard of this place and when she told me she made a resi here I was unimpressed.  Ridgewood, in general, is a parking nightmare, but on a Saturday night it is truly horrible.  As luck would have it we found a spot pretty quick.  After walking  to restaurant we were greeted with a smallish but very cool space, I especially liked the exposed brick and cool beams.  Since it is technically a BYOB, of which we didn't B we ordered a bottle from a NJ vineyard, which did the job.  Menu was def limited, but the choices were fine and we ordered the tuna tartare app, very nice, and I had the pork chop porterhouse and my wife the scallops.  The pork chop was pretty big and was seasoned and cooked pretty damn well, and the accompanying sweet potatoes and spatzel were perfect companions.   I couldn't finish it, which is saying something to the size of the chop.  My wife's seared scallops were great, with a nice crust and were translucent on the inside, again perfect. For dessert we ordered a pear crumble which was okay but not needed and def overdoing it.  The service was great, very attentive without being  intrusive, and you get a choice of tap or complementary sparkling water.  Overall was a great experience and I will definitely be back .  My only negative were the two older anti Trumpites sitting next to us, complaining the entire meal.  I am so sick of hearing about it please its been only 2 days.  But I did overhear that she was told by someone at her salon, who knows someone who works at the FBI and is in the know that Trump is related on his mothers side to Josef Stalin, and that's why Putin helped him...Luckily we all live in the USA so I wont be reporting them to the KGB...

On a whim, i entered this cute little place. Rustic but trendy ambience, accommodating owner, friendly attentive staff. Great food with some exotic elements. Some dishes are light, others rich and comforting. I love that the vegetables are not overcooked. Wine is available by bottle only, which made me choose tea instead as I was dining alone. A very good experience- I will return :)

Wow. Trendy, cozy cafe meets posh, picturesque (+ Instagram-worthy) eatery. I'm so glad I stumbled across this gem. The aesthetic of this cafe is gorgeous, and it's the perfect lunch spot for catching up with friends. It's on the smaller side, so I wouldn't recommend it for bigger groups, but the perfect size for a couple or group of 3-4.I included some HD footage of my lunch experience here if you're a visual person:youtu.be/DDtou2gNmqoWould highly recommend their "BLTE" salad, I added chicken for a few dollars more, and it was one of the BEST salads I've ever had. They use the freshest ingredients, and know how to complement certain flavor profiles.Their duck tacos were also good, along with their tomato bisque. Prices are on the higher end, but it's totally worth the experience. Make sure to bring a camera to take some good photos!

Ahh this place is wonderful, so wonderful. Where do I begin? The service is excellent. The owner is a joy. You're given a choice of flat or sparkling water every time you eat there, free of charge. You are also given some delicious seasoned popcorn to start with, It is amazing! The food itself is great. The ambiance is very nice. It's also BYOB which is great! Try the tomato soup, it's my favorite!

Simple food cooked exceptionally well.We had a fantastic meal here on Friday. Bring your own bottle, always a bonus. Service very friendly and attentive. The popcorn instead of bread was quirky but personally I prefer some nice bread. My wife is a vegetarian and she loved the fact she had so much choice. I had the chicken pie to start and the hanger steak. Both were delicious and cooked to perfection. Bringing my wife's mum back next week.Super find!

I can honestly say this has been my most favorite out-to-eat/food experience of all of 2016. My fiance and I went to Ridgewood and on a whim said, "let's grab brunch!" We've been meaning to check out White Maple and I'm so immensely happy we park where we did, right in front of this magical place. It is so incredibly charming. The intricate details of the decor fit into one refreshing theme seamlessly. A very calming, natural, almost like it's all supposed to be exactly how it is, providing one lovely sensation for it's customers. Each piece acting with such belonging into the next (when did I get so poetic!?). I'm such a huge huge fan of the way this place looks, feels and is presented (can you tell?!). Everything is so charming, down to the gorgeous natural glass vessel our second round of coffee was poured out of, to the little shallow dish the salt was presented in. So absolutely breath taking, simple, natural, and charming (have I said this word enough?!).Now aside from the whimsically earthy decor and atmosphere, the food plays within the same theme. Pure in it's ingredients, incredibly fresh and absolutely beautifully presented. Not the type of beauty that comes with a 'flower on the side', but the ruggedly simple "vegetable hash" was an array of largely chopped winter/fall seasoned vegetables with a stem of fresh rosemary. Looks like it was skillet cooked beautifully to retain flavor with an incredibly executed soft internal texture and temperature. This is me just talking and describing the SIDE to my dish! Everything was so unbelievable so I think I'll stop there and you get this jist. I never positively rage this much about a place I've only tried once, but it's truly taken my heart with their refreshing new twist of "up-scale casual" (The name given by the newspaper article titled in the front window about this new Ridgewood gem).Sounds too good to be true? Honestly, you have my word. Try them out and I'd love to hear what you have to say about it all. I cannot wait to try them for dinner. Plus, they're also BYOB but have wine options to purchase in house from Ventimiglia vineyards (which I'm also a big fan of). What an incredible precious spot in a gorgeous neighborhood. So excited this place is here.

Hoboken, NJ - October 15th, 2016

2nd time at WM and just as good. Same crowd: me, Wife,  5-year-old. W got the arctic char this time. It was cooked to perfection, flavored well, and a decent portion to boot. Came with some squash which was good and something else i cant remember (perhaps because W did not share).  I again had the burger which was delicious and i did not notice the relish being too sweet this time. The fries were, however, over-salted. 5YO devoured the duck taco.  Came with 3 tacos and 5YO said next time she wants it with 4 or even 5 tacos (this was an appetizer portion that we ordered as an entry for her). Needless to say,  she liked it. Two homemade sodas. The citrus ginger one was fine. Black cherry one was too sweet.  I cut it with some water and just made a larger beverage,  so no harm no foul (except for the duck). They also served us this warm rice/almond/evaporated milk beverage (cant recall name) which was nice. It would be perfect on any cool or snowy day,  very comforting. Dessert: Artuffo (sp), pumpkin spiced creme brulee,  and this cranberry corn cake.  All were good.  The creme brule was fantastic. And the artuffo had a pleasant juxtaposition of hot bitter espresso with cold sweet gelato.  All those profiles worked really well together. The corn bread itself was maybe a tad pedestrian but the dessert as a whole worked fine (house-made whipped cream,  cranberry glaze, and nuts). Oh and we had a side of quinoa which had some indian flavors going on, nice! A new broccoli side was also pretty good but a smidge too sweet and too much sauce.  We ate EVERYthing so that reveals our immense satisfaction despite my small gripes.Cant wait to come back to White Maple a third time!

Glen Rock, NJ - September 19th, 2016

This is a welcome addition to the Ridgewood restaurant scene.  The menu is on the smaller side, but definitely broad enough to satisfy multiple food preferences. I like that many items are locally sourced, as well.  We tried several apps and main dishes and overall, thought they were all flavorful and interesting, although the chicken quinoa soup and the pesto were a bit underseasoned. The herbed ricotta was creamy and delicious and the chickpea fritters were really flavorful and crispy.  The mussels were out of this world - some of the best I have ever had.  I could not stop eating them. The light tomato-infused sauce is addictive! The staff was tops - friendly and accommodating. In particular, our waiter was great.  He was patient and super nice and very attentive.  I am looking forward to going back soon!

Delicious pesto pasta, Appetizer portion enough for a main meal. Seated outside, brought indoors by the rain, after the car show. Very gracious, and accommodating.Sparkling water served chilled and plentiful.Sarah once again provides efficient service with personality, and speed.Everyone else also  as pleasant and friendly.

What an incredible new find. First of all, the service is impeccable. As soon as you drink a glass of water, or my favorite the sparkling water, someone comes over to refill your glass. I am a big fan of farm to table restaurants with healthy alternative foods... this one is excellent and I have only been here twice. The rocket chips are a great start.. The crabcake sliders might be the best I ever had. The peaches & ricotta flatbread is excellent. For the main course I had the white maple veggie bowl which was excellent... I also had the mussels which I wasn't crazy about for a main meal but they would be good as an appetizer. The dessert is something I would never pass on... The chocolate pudding is amazing, as well as the NJ Blueberry & Peach crisp and the ice cream sandwich! The maple gelato is specifically made for their location and it's simple, not too sweet. I can't wait to go back!

What a great new find! Had such a NYC soho feel, loved the decor and the small touches (outdoor seating with music, complimentary popcorn and sparkling water). Absolutely delicious meal, I left with my taste buds feeling very happy I can't wait to go back and try more. Had the eggs Benedict and brioche French toast, would definitely recommend both!

Wow. Was looking for a nice lunch spot and stumbled across this new place. I couldn't decide hat to order! Loved that everything is local and sustainable; went with the harvest salad with chicken for lunch and it was delicious - the fresh veggies, warm chicken and maple chili lime vinaigrette was heavenly. Can't wait to come back and try their brunch and dinner menu!

We got the pesto related dishes but they tasted really bad and they were really dry. The burger was just okay. However, our server, Tyler, was so amazing and she was so fast. She paid attention if we liked our food, tried to make it better and was very nice. I'll come back and try their brunch :)

Really love this place. The interior decor is super cute with a wooden wall, glasses set up behind the counter, and the look of the restaurant was very minimalistic and aesthetically pleasing. It was a good first impression. Going into the restaurant, the menu was simple and easy to understand. It wasn't too over the top busy where selection was hard, the waiters/waitresses were sweet in the way they approached us and checked on us regularly (since it was a bit of a small cafe). We ordered the vegetable tartine and a frittata which was amazing in size, and taste. Each plate came with a side small dish of sweet potatoes or fries. Their mocktails are also very light and tastes great for a brunch meal. I would highly highly recommend this place for brunch and a nice date with a friend/SO.

Ridgewood, NJ - August 27th, 2016

I love this place! This is exactly what Ridgewood needed: new american dishes with locally sourced ingredients in an aesthetically pleasing environment. When you sit down they serve you a bowl with deliciously seasoned popcorn. I've had the kale Caesar with grilled chicken, the veggie bowl, roasted chicken, and Arctic char and all were fresh and perfectly portioned. The waiting staff is extremely nice and consistently filling up water glasses (which is much appreciated). I'm excited to go back and try the rest of the menu!

Bellevue, WA - August 21st, 2016

So glad I found this place, came highly recommend by a friend. This local spot is so cute and has a wonderful brunch menu. All ingredients seem to be locally sourced which means a lot to me. Their coffee came from Bulldogs a place I go to all the time and veggies from Stokes farm in Old Tappan another fav place of mine.Like other reviews have said it has a great ambiance! Rustic and chic. The staff was great and I would definitely return for brunch or dinner. And for the overpriced area of Ridgewood, the price point of this place actually seemed fair and reasonable. Don't think just go and check it out! You won't be disappointed.

Lovely restaurant and amazing snacks to share! The scones and maple butter are delicious, and the ambience is idyllic. Strongly recommend!

Lovely ambiance and the cutest decor. We ordered the vegetable tartine and a frittata along with a couple mocktails. The service was quick and so friendly. They advertise that a lot of their ingredients are fresh and local. It shows in the quality of the food. Everything we had tasted amazing. It looks like White Maple hasn't been around for long. If the service and food continues to be this good, I'm sure this place is here to stay.

Fantastic brunch. Get anything with the maple butter, guaranteed to love it, especially on the scones. Incredibly nice servers, good wines, fantastic atmosphere, and great locally sourced food.Need to get here if you're in Ridgewood.

Great spot!  Came here on a whim while I was in Ridgewood to get a tux fitted.  Had a great lunch (chicken salad = amazing).  Definitely recommend WM, seems like its a gem.

New York, NY - August 1st, 2016

My wife and I were visiting family in New Jersey for a few weeks and decided to meet some friends at this local spot instead of heading into NYC, where they live.  We were just hoping for a solid dinner and a comfortable place to talk.  White Maple far exceeded our expectations. From the minute we walked in, we were incredibly impressed by the restaurant's ambience.  The wooden beams on the ceiling, the exposed brick wall, and the tiling combined to make us feel like we were in the hippest spot west of the Hudson. The servers were attentive from the minute we walked in and helped us pick out a great combination of appetizers and entrees that we all shared.  While we waited for our food to arrive, we snacked on the complimentary seasoned popcorn.  I've eaten a lot of popcorn in my life, and this was honestly the best I've ever had. Each appetizer was delicious.  Our favorites were the rocket chips and the softshell crab (a special that day).  The dip for the rocket chips was an incredibly innovative and delicious combination of blue cheese and arugula.  The mains were also incredible.  As someone who looks for local, ethically raised meat, it was a pleasure to see they source their chickens from Goffle Road.  It was cooked to perfection and was a generous portion.  Our second favorite was the arctic char, which was also excellent.Although we were stuffed, we couldn't resist ordering some dessert.  The "cookies and milk" was decadent and the perfect ending to the night.  We could not believe that we had such a delicious meal in such a tastefully decorated venue without sitting through all the traffic to get into NYC.  We'll definitely be back next time we're in town!

After my second time eating at White Maple, I feel it's necessary to share how much I enjoy this new place. First, the staff and the owner are so friendly and the bright natural decor nicely compliments the farm-to-table style of the restaurant. I most recently sat outside and it's clear they didn't cut any corners in the design - the marble tables out there are beautiful! I'm a vegetarian and my boyfriend is a meat-lover, so what I loved most was that there were several options for both of us to choose from. I've had both the Harvest Salad and the White Maple Veggie Bowl and both were so fresh tasting and colorful! My boyfriend ordered the Mac and Cheese and Bison and Beef Burger the first time we went and the Hanger Steak the second time. The Mac and Cheese was awesome (and we are big mac and cheese snobs), burger was apparently very flavorful, and he ordered the steak medium rare and said it came out perfectly. For dessert I HIGHLY recommend the Apple Crisp with Maple Gelato - had to order it the second time I went after it was so good the first time!We will definitely be going back! Looking forward to trying it for brunch. Great new addition to Ridgewood!!

Have been here 4 times and has never disappointed.  The place/decor is great and is topped by the food.  The burger, char sliders, flatbreads, mac and cheese, chicken, etc, everything has been great.  Love their take on food.  Will continue to come every time i'm in the area.

We got seated at a lovely table outside and enjoyed every bit of our dinner.  The burger was delish and the spicy mayo was a wonderful condiment for it (and a dip for the perfectly crispy fries), and the mussels had the exact amount of garlicky goodness that you want.  The apple crisp with maple gelato (yum) was the best end to a wonderful meal.  Service was on point and I just loved everything about the pace of this place.  Definitely will be back!

Loved this place!  Get the burger!  The mussels were spot on and the ricotta appetizer was a perfect start.  Welcoming staff and awesome music!  Can't wait to try brunch. Great addition to the neighborhood.

What a nice addition to Ridgewood!  Went for Father's Day and sat outside because it was beautiful out.  We tried the herby ricotta plate appetizer which was awesome!  The ricotta was so creamy and delicious! I enjoyed the steak salad  for dinner--kale pesto on the salad was a nice touch, AND my steak was cooked perfectly! One of my favorite things about this place is that they bring out some yummy popcorn when you first sit down.  It's a small thing to notice, but I love popcorn, so that really hit home with me!  I really can't wait to come back and try more.

Love Love Love the whole vibe of this new restaurant! Casual but chic. Super creative mocktails.  Really nice options on the menu and everything we ordered tasted super fresh and delicious! Rocket Chips...amazing! Leave room for dessert, i had the chocolate chip cookie and milk, a grown up version of my childhood favorite. Looking forward to trying them out for brunch!

Really enjoyed dinner at White Maple.  Delicious food, very good service and nice decor.  My wife had the hanger steak and I had the striped bass.  Both were fantastic!  I would highly recommend this restaurant.

New York, NY - June 4th, 2016

I had a great overall experience at the White Maple Cafe, but I would return for the Bacon Mac and Cheese alone! I have toured the best mac and cheese spots in NYC, and this Ridgewood cafe's version could hold its own against any of them. If you're in the mood for something healthier, I loved that White Maple Cafe had an array of both healthy and vegetarian options. We shared a few meals to try them out and they were all good, but the stand-out for me was the White Maple Veggie Bowl. The chili-maple vinaigrette really made this roasted vegetable, bean and quinoa dish pop. Plus the bowl is huge so I got to enjoy it a second time the next day. I will definitely be back for that when I'm craving something fresh and healthy. The complimentary popcorn also had a unique seasoning that I really enjoyed. Next time I'm going to have to refrain myself from eating so much of it though so I have room for the rest of the dishes! I saw some other meals pass by our table and they looked incredible (like the char sliders and the roasted chicken), so I'm excited to go back and try out the other options. As for the ambience, we sat inside but the outside seating looked perfect for a summer evening. It was nice that even packed with customers, the inside did not feel noisy at all. The decor was adorable - now I want those mini plants all around my home! All in all a very cute cafe.

Lafayette Township, NJ - June 2nd, 2016

My wife and I have been there twice for dinner. Servers Jenna and Joseph were very attentive and knowledgeable about the food. Everything from appetizers, salads, and main courses were phenomenal and well presented. Other nice touches include seasoned popcorn, sparkling water, and the variety of menu choices. The overall atmosphere is welcoming, friendly, upbeat. We highly recommend White Maple.

French Quarter, New Orleans, LA - June 1st, 2016

Just finished my first meal at the white maple cafe and it did not disappoint. I went as a group of 4 and we started with some appetizers and a salad to share. The herby ricotta plate and the bacon macaroni & cheese were absolutely delicious and the harvest salad was refreshing. For entrees, we got the steak, the mussels, the chicken and the burger-- all of which were delicious and beautifully presented.  Finally, we finished the meal with a round of coffees, the chocolate pudding, the cookies and milk, and a chocolate gelato which were all fantastic.  We look forward to going back again soon. What a great, new edition to the Ridgewood restaurant scene!

Great addition to the Ridgewood dining scene...food was delicious, but I was more impressed with the decor and ambiance. You can tell the owner knows how to create an inviting space for good food and conversation. I'll be back.

Manhattan, NY - May 31st, 2016

A friend and I went on their opening night and it was great! Lovely outdoor sitting but we sat inside. Decor and atmosphere are great. We got a complimentary bowl of seasoned popcorn to start which was very tasty and nice to snack on as we ordered. We shared the bacon Mac and cheese and the rocket chips to share to start, they immediately brought over sharing plates without us asking and both were delicious, slightly unusual takes on classics and a step up for sure! My friend had the chicken and I had the burger, both were really tasty, you can really taste the quality of the ingredients and the attention to detail  and the fries are great!! We could barely manage a dessert but had the upside down cranberry cornmeal cake anyways which was amazing! Cannot speak more highly of the food. The staff were also really good! Friendly, welcoming and knew what they were doing! I see only good things for the future of this place!!!

Delray Beach, FL - May 30th, 2016

White maple is a great addition to Ridgewood. It is trendy, and the food is fresh and delicious.  The chicken salad sandwich was fresh and not too heavy on the mayo, the fries were perfect, and my husbands blte salad was a beautiful dish as well. The only complaints I would have is the popcorn they put out on the table wasn't great (I know they are trying to do something different, but it just wasn't good, would have preferred fresh bread). Also, the service wasn't the best. They got my husbands order wrong, therefore I was stuck sharing my meal with him until his came out 10 minute later. I'm sure as time goes on they can work out the kinks. Other than that, I am excited to come back and try something else. It is just such a breath of fresh air to have a cute little restaurant with great food!!

Miami, FL - May 30th, 2016

White Maple will be successful in Ridgewood.  It has a great feel and not pretentious.  The quality of the food was evident with great taste. The service was also a nice change from the slow and apathetic service of some other local restaurants.  I hope they keep the service educated and efficient.  I also like how they tied in another great Ridgewood establishment the American Bulldog.
